Before we could install the Rubberbond Fleecebacked EPDM flat roof system, we took some important steps to prepare the area. This included removing existing roofing materials and structural elements to create a solid foundation for the new system. We carefully dismantled GRP trims, removed central surfaces, and laid down an OSB 3 recovery board to ensure everything was ready for the installation.

  • Firstly we removed the existing GRP trims and decking from the flat roof gulley to all sides
  • then we removed the central GRP roof surface
  • and finally we supplied and mechanically fixed an 18mm OSB 3 recovery board to pitched roof area

A considerable amount of detail work was involved…
  • This included the supply and fix of wall outlets to side of building and adjust gulley timber work using treated timber to take the new EPDM system
  • followed by adding a new drain outlet
  • along with new black kerb trims
  • and finally redress of existing leadwork over new upstands

 After installing the Rubberbond Fleecebacked EPDM flat roof system, we ensured that every detail was addressed for optimal performance and aesthetics. This included fitting premium black kerb trims and new lead flashing to enhance upstands. We also added essential features such as wall outlets and a new drain outlet, adjusting any necessary timber work with treated materials for durability. Finally, we carefully redressed the existing leadwork to ensure everything blends seamlessly and functions effectively.
